PCSO SCAM ALERT

PCSO SCAM ALERT

A Pinal County resident contacted PCSO deputies saying they received a call from an individual claiming to be a sergeant with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The individual used the name of an actual sergeant with our agency. The individual demanded $3000 due to her having a warrant out for her arrest.

Thankfully, the victim refused to give the individual $3000, but they did give them some of her personal info.

As always, law enforcement and the courts will not contact anyone to collect money. We will not ask for money in lieu of issuing a warrant.

Please share this message to your social media community and talk to your family members. If you get a call similar to the one described, please call your local law enforcement to verify and report the call. You can call your local law enforcement’s non-emergency number or if you live in Pinal County, you can call PCSO's non-emergency number at 520-866-5111 to verify.
