All other schools in the JO Combs District remain open at this time, including the Combs Center for Success. It is important to note that the decision to close was made by the Pinal County Public Health Department due to the number of staff and students required to quarantine and not the number of positive cases reported. Combs High School, out of an abundance of caution, and under the guidance of the Pinal County Public Health Department, is asking students to quarantine for 14 days from the last potential date of exposure, October 13, 2020. All students will be expected to participate in virtual learning during this time period, as well as monitor closely for any signs of potential illness including fever, cough, sore throat, body aches and/or headache, shortness of breath, and loss of smell and taste.
Effective immediately, the Pinal County Public Health Department will conduct an investigation, which includes notification of close contacts to ensure necessary testing takes place. If your child is identified as a close contact to a positive case, you will be directly contacted by the Pinal County Public Health Department. The date for duration of quarantine may be subject to change dependent on further advisement from the Pinal County Public Health Department..
